Life Growing Up
Galileo grew up in Pisa, Italy until he was eight and moved to Florence, Italy. Galileo started studying harder things at such a younge age, when he moved Florence, he studied in Camaldolese Monatery at Vollombrosa. Initially, as a child Galileo was interested into becoming a priest. But, luckily his father influeced him to study in science. He then enrolled himself in the University of Pisa for a medical degree. Unfortunatly he never completed his medical degree, BUT he took up in mathematics. Galileo kind of jumped around a bit, he had a string interest in arts. In 1588 he was chosen to be an art instructor at the Accademia delle Arti del Disogno. He then jumped back to mathematics in 1589 and was chosen for the position of being a mathematics teacher in Pisa. Then in 1592 he taught geometry, mechanics and astronomy at the University of Padua. Throughout his many years of teaching and studying he made his amazing discoveries.
